Heavenly Hair Mist

Does your hair start feeling dry and dull in the winter? Well, here is a fun and natural way to give your hair a shine and moisture boost just in time for the holidays. Your hair will be as soft as an Irish spring!

I came up with this recipe to relieve my dull dry hair from its winter blues. The scent is so uplifting and relaxing too. I have been using this product for a month now and I must say, my hair has never been so shiney and soft. I hope it works as well for you as it has for me!

You will need:

A spray bottle, 350 ml (preferably dark in colour or opaque)
Rose Geranium Essential Oil, 30 drops
Bergamont Essential Oil, 10 drops
Lavender Essential Oil, 10 drops
Distilled Water

Method:

Combine in your spray bottle the essential oils in the order given. Fill your bottle with distilled water. Give it  a shake, spray into the air and smell. Does it smell strong enough for you? Depending on the quality of oils you purchase, you may need to add more. If this is the case, add up to 5 more drops of the Rose Geranium Oil as this is the most important in terms of hair care.

How to use:

Shake bottle well and spray about 10 times onto wet hair. Brush through with a gentle brush and carry on with your usual hair routine. I find blow drying with a round brush reveals extra shine.

Since there are no preservatives used in this product it has a shelf life of 2 weeks so spray away! I find myself spraying it everywhere. I just can't get enough of this fresh and summery scent.

Game Changer:
If you love the smell and would like to make it into a heavenly room spray, all you have to do is add 2 to 3 ml of good vodka. This will double the shelf life to one month. And don't worry, you can't smell the alcohol.

WARNING: Do a test patch to be sure you have no allergies to any of these ingredients. Please refer to the MSDS for all oils used before making this product. Essential Oils should never be applied to the skin neat or ingested usless under the supervision of a qualified person (ex. physician, or a trained professional).
